Context
Anne Schülke is a media artist with curatorial and publishing practices, living in Düsseldorf. She studied literary studies and philosophy and completed her doctoral thesis on autofiction. Her interdisciplinary artistic work combines text, video, scans, installation, artist books, and audio. Her works are presented in exhibitions and public spaces. In addition to her artistic practice, she is deeply involved in teaching and mediation. She enjoys initiating independent processes and regularly collaborates with others, including in international contexts. Following numerous exhibition and project grants, she was awarded the Visual Arts Prize by the City of Düsseldorf in 2022. The award recognises her ability to develop a relevant body of work as an individual artist while also creating interdisciplinary platforms that foster encounters, collaboration, and solidarity.
